So I just purchased my Koss Porta Pro this afternoon around 12:30 in Singapore. It's my first time here, and after spending around 9 hours with it, I can say that it's an amazing piece of hardware. It's definitely a fantastic travel companion, especially when walking around busy streets, there are times I forget they're even on. And the sound.
It really depends on what you'd prefer if you'd want something in your ears or on your ears if you were thinking of going Koss. I own all the koss products that tend to get mentioned a lot. (Porta Pro, KSC75, KPH30i, KPH40 with yaxi pads and other mods). I would say the Koss KSC75 is more enjoyable to me, because I don't really care for bass
They don’t like to be pushed. Don’t push them. They just want to be liberated. Classical is a genre that can quickly become overpowering and fairly fatiguing. It tends to go from quiet to loud very fast. The KSC75 handles these fluctuations with relative ease because it doesn’t highlight any particular frequency.
Koss seems to be having no customer service. Placed an order for the Koss Porta Pro Utility as KPH40 was unavailable. Had to place the order in the US Amazon store as the product was not available in Mexico. Including shipping and customs, cost was around 100USD with additional utility lightning connector. Shipping took a few days.
Kph30i sounds neutral with a noticeable midbass hump. And is balanced and tonally smooth across the mids and treble. They therefore escape sibilance and excessive muddiness from most music. They're pretty much the all-rounder among the Koss headphones i've heard. The Ksc75 is the detail-treble-focused option.
The newer Koss KPH40 released and does a lot of the same stuff for around the same price as doing the mod. So with my own collection, what are my thoughts on these headphones, as well as pad combinations. First let's talk about the KPH40. It's $40, and is very much like a stripped down, less clampy Porta pro.
Yea I can see the bass getting on some people's nerves after a while, I picked the Porta Pro over the ksc75 due to looks and I got somewhat spooked by the FR charts seeing the relatively neutralish treble thinking that there would be harshness since so many cheaper small headphones/IEM's are plagued by treble nastiness, but after hearing these I wouldn't be surprised if it was also smooth
The Koss PortaPro / KSC75 could be endgame for a lot of you. r/buildapcsales • [PSU] EVGA B-Stock PSUs + Free shipping | 850 GT - $50, 750 P5 - $69, 1000 GT - $80 plus 10% off w/ Associates code SG6LFX7LRLICR2Y

Koss PortaPro Driver problems. Hello all! I'm running across a problem unfamiliar to me until now. I've had the PortaPro's since 2010, and have had no problem so far. I've changed the plug and rewired them multiple times with success, and had no isues until today. This morning, one of the drivers stopped working.
